Acero Schools offers a robust medical, dental and vision plan that allows colleagues the freedom to seek care from a provider of their choice.
All full-time employees are entitled to three (3) floating holidays per year. 
Full-time union employees earn up to 10 days of PTO (personal time off) per year, while non-union employees are eligible for up to 20 days.
If you have any registered ISBE license (substitute, paraprofessional, provisional, or professional educator license or PEL), whether you are in an instructional or non-instructional role, you are required to contribute 9% of your salary to the Chicago Teacher Pension Fund (CTPF). As a benefit to unionized colleagues, Acero Schools contributes 8% to CTPF, and you will only have to contribute 1%.
Acero matches 401K contributions of up to 8% for employees not contributing to CTPF. Participants with an employer match are vested 100% after two years of service.
Acero provides parental leave for employees, allowing bonding time with new children whether you are starting a family or expanding.
